ABOUT THE PROJECT
Staple Design worked in conjunction with Arcadia Design Studio and Assemble WA to create a new retail space for Potter & Co in North Perth.
As a store dedicated to designer dress fabrics, the interior needed to feel tactile, welcoming and practical, allowing the fabric collections to be displayed clearly while still creating a strong sense of brand identity.
The design response focused on creating a retail experience that felt warm, creative and easy to navigate. Display, storage, circulation and customer interaction were all carefully considered so the space could work beautifully for both the Potter & Co team and their customers.
DESIGN DETAILS
The interior direction was guided by the texture, colour and craft of the fabrics themselves.
Natural materials, custom display solutions and carefully considered detailing helped create a space that felt personal, layered and connected to the maker community. The design needed to support the practical needs of a working retail store while still feeling distinctive, inspiring and aligned with the Potter & Co brand.
The result is a warm and characterful retail space that celebrates fabric, craft and the experience of choosing materials in person.
